UB City hosted like minded foodbloggers from across the city for a two day live social media and food tasting event. I've never done anything like this before it was electrifying fun filled tasting and interactive session with chefs and restaurateurs.

About:
UB City Mall is the first ‘All Luxury’ concept mall in India, Bengaluru. Home to over 200 of the world’s premium and top brands. Whether you prefer to go shopping or dining, clubbing or would like to simply relax at the spa, UB City is the place to be at! India's first luxury mall offers everything that's on one's to-do list.

Centrally located in the CBD (Central Business District) of Bangalore on Vittal Mallya Road, UB City is just 1.5kms away from the MG Road – Brigade Road junction.

With a total built up area of 16 lakh sqft, UB City is completed by the UB Tower, Kingfisher Plaza, Concorde, Canberra and Comet Blocks! Each of these blocks stand out for their distinctive look, while yet combining to produce the feeling of a city. UB City also boasts of the largest Triple Level Puzzle Parking system that houses close to 1600 Cars.

UB Tower – the tallest structure in Karnataka as on date, measuring up to a height of 123M, the tower houses the UB Group offices. Standing at 115M, Concorde Block is the second tallest structure within the UB City complex, followed by the Canberra Block which stands at 105M.

The biggest highlight of UB City, are the lower three levels of the Concorde and Canberra Block, which constitute the Retail area, christened The Collection. The title of India’s first luxury mall is aptly justified by brands like Rolex, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, and Canali.

Other highlights at UB City include an 800 seater Amphitheatre, internationally famed Oakwood Serviced Residences along with a Day Spa from Angsana. To ensure your taste buds are also taken off, UB City is home to various cuisines ranging from Italian to Chinese, apart from Indian and Japanese options too.

UB City set heads rolling when it was first announced & till date continues to dazzle. From being voted as the most outstanding structure in Karnataka, to picking up 11 awards over a short 3 year period, UB City truly lives up to its billing of being India’s first Luxury Mall.

Majority of luxury branded products are available in the 240 stores on offer, as well as very comprehensive food and beverage choices for tourists and locals.

My Culinary Adventure begins at UB City Sublime Tea house, followed by a Mediterranean affair at Fava then Toscano, Sanchos, Cafe Mangii, Cafe Noir, Rasovara and Singkong. I will post a culinary adventure series do follow me for regular updates...

Sublime Galleria, located on the 8th Floor Sky Bridge of UB City, is India’s first Sky Gallery.

‘Sublime House of Tea’, started in 2013 by Uzma Irfan - Executive Director, Prestige Group and Founder, Sublime Galleria. Gourmet teas are handpicked with care to value quality and diversity rather than quantity.

Sublime’s portfolio of fine tea presents a mix of the classical, the popular and the avant-garde. From sought after bouquets such as Green Tea, Assam Tea and English Breakfast to intriguing localised brews like Moroccan Mint, and Seventh Heaven, eclectic admixtures like White Tea with Raspberry and the complex flavours of herbal tisanes like Rose in Bloom and Chamomile, there is a tea to suit every palate and occasion.

‘Sublime House of Tea’ has been credited with Wellness Brew and Green Long Ding, which are extremely sought-after in several places across the globe. Another differentiator is that the tea is packed in pyramid tea bags, rather than the regular filter paper tea bags, thus further enhancing the taste of the tea by giving the fullness of the liquor.

Tea has beneficial effects on the human health. The ancient Chinese believed it to be useful in the treatment of a wide variety of medical conditions. In modern times, studies show that tea, especially the white and green varieties, are rich in catechins. Catechins are a variety of antioxidants that help to counter the harmful effects of free radical cells in our body and lower cholesterol levels. Drinking tea thus can potentially be beneficial in preventing diseases like cancer, neurological conditions and coronary heart diseases. Studies are being conducted the world over to determine the exact nature and extent of the benefits.
