Tucked down a side ally in Banashankari is Shivaji Military Hotel. This hotel is packed through out the day they serve biryani from breakfast to lunch and by 3 its all sold out. we planned to visit shivaji milatary hotel for lunch and were there by 12 to my surprise it was already packed we ordered mutton biryani along with chicken dry and mutton pepper. You may ask its just a biryani whats special about it? The biodegradable cups used to serve biryani adds to the flavour and taste. Its an amazing play of spices in the biryani it has 10 different spices ground togeather and cooked with chicken and mutton the aromas are tantalizing and this draws many towards shivaji military hotel. Apart from biryani they serve excellent chicken drums which is called as chicken dry and mutton pepper fry to accompaniment the biryani a glass of rasam and chalna is also served with this biryani for rasam and white rice they charge a nominal price.
Its a king size breakfast at Shivaji Military Hotel. Dosas mutton paya soup and biryani is served for breakfast its a feast for any nonveg lover. the maharastrian influence is clearly indicated in their cooking and they have adapted few elements of serving the food over a dry leaf plate and bettelnut cups from karnataka its a new experience for people who are visiting bangalore for the first time. I being a total biryani lover would most certainly recommend this place for your visit its light on the pocket and they serve wonderful food the place is well maintained for the crowd they receive.
