Tiger Trail is inspired and modeled around the hunting lodges located across India, Featuring cuisines from across our country Mughali, Afghani, Pashtooni, Indian an so on..Serving scrumptious traditional kebabs, grills, rotis, naans, biryani and desserts.

Royal Orchid Hotel is centrally located in the heart of the city at Old Airport Road Bengaluru,  which is perfectly connected to busiest Business Districts and IT-Parks.

Royal Orchid Central had invited me to be a part of bloggers table meet. It was around 8 p.m when I reached the venue. This was my 3rd visit at Royal Orchids Central all of us in my family have totally enjoyed the food and stay at Royal Orchids.

I will for sure recommend every one to try the dinning and stay there, The team is always organized and are ready to serve 24/7. We have conducted 2 wedding Receptions at royal orchids in our family the team was extremely accommodative to our last minute changes on few details we were totally satisfied with their efforts.

Ambience: The hotels lawns is a second adobe opening up to the culinary journey at Tiger Trail. Keeping the traditions alive the atmosphere and ambiance was simple and perfect what we truly enjoyed was the open kitchen watching the chefs create scrumptious kebabs the vibe was electrifying. Hand woven bengal cushioned chairs and tables open air gazebos and candlelit alfresco dinning makes it a romantic experience.

Executive Chef Rana Dominic Gomes

Tremendous effort hats off to Chef Rana and team they truly made our experience one of a kind. Chef Rana walked us through all the dishes he created. He has hand picked chefs from Lucknow and Delhi who truly know their kebabs and naans. Friendly and hospitable staff , service was good making our dinning experience pleasant and comfortable.

Aam Ka Panna

Once seated we were offered a traditional welcome drink lassi and aam ka panna. I chose the aam ka panna it was refreshing perfect for hot summer. Raw Mangoes are cooked in raw sugar then blended well adding lime, mint leaves and a cumin spice mix called Jaljeera for minty fresh taste then topped with ice and served. Aam ka panna is a must try drink at Tiger trail.

Pepper Masala Papad

After a wonderful and refreshing drink. We were flooded with mouthwatering starters. murgh gulnar with minty yogurt and grape chutney and tunde kebab came first followed my tarana kabab and shakarkandi kabab.

Tarana Kabab

Tarana Kabab is a platter of mixed grilled veggies and cottage cheese. This fusion platter consisted of broccoli florets marinated with cream, cheese and hung yogurt...baby corn marinated with fiery spice blend and the paneer with hung yogurt and chilles all were grilled on griddle and served with lemon wedges and salad.

Murgh Gulnar

Murgh Gulnar is prepared with boneless chicken thigh which is soft and supple was marinated with hung curds and 20 spices its allowed to marinate for almost 6 hours before cooking then grilled on coals. The taste of this chicken was juicy and very tasty I especially loved the grape chutney and yogurt along with chicken.

Shakarkandi Kabab

Shakarkandi Kabab is prepared out of scooped sweet potato which was marinated with lemon juice tandoori masala and then grilled on coals. The kebab had a mixture of sweet and savory taste it was packed with amazing flavors of spices and smoke we totally enjoyed this kabab.

Tunde Kabab

Tunde kabab interestingly earned its name from a handicapped person who prepared these kababs. Fine lamb mince is marinated with a potli masala and raw papaya the raw papaya tenderizes the meat and enhances the flavors and taste the lamb patty is then pan fried on a griddle with ghee and served along with naan or as a starter this is a perfect starter for scotch on rocks or just chilled beer...

Murgh Yakhani Shorba

Murgh Yakhani Shorba is chicken soup, cooked chicken, cardamom, bayleafs, pepper corns and loads of ginger its then strained and tempered with ghee and onions. This soup need bit more lime and seasoning other then that the soup tasted good.

Roti Basket

Roti Basket consisted of three different breads baked in traditional clay oven tandoor. Tashkent naan was a basic bread leavened with yeast and flour. Chironji naan is also prepared from the same naan base and has a topping of nigella seeds then baked in oven. Ajwani naan is a bread base made from yeast, flour, milk and eggs this dough is then rolled and topped with carom seeds and baked in oven. and all the breads were topped with butter the breads were flaky tasty along with chicken gravy.

Chaap Noorani

Chaap Noorani was a rich creamy lamb chop slow gravy. lamb meat was tender and falling off the bone the meat was slow cooked with spices and then simmered with a cashew pastes and garnished with mint this is a traditional dish prepared during hunting back in the days. Wow this gravy was creamy and very tasty along with biryani and naan..

Murgh Korma

Murgh Korma chicken morsels were cooked in a spiced gravy with yogurt and cream  simmered and then tempered with caramelized onions in ghee. Chiken korma and naan was a perfect combo we truly enjoyed every bite..

Awadhi Lamb Biryani

Awadhi Lamb Biryani awadhs invented dum biryani this biryani is most loved Lucknowie dish. The royals loved it and the recipe is passed down through generations. Here at tiger trail they truly have captured the essence of this biryani. Meat and Rice were divide according to portion serving in a traditional copper lagan then topped with crispy fried onions and safforn milk the dish is then covered with dough and baked on coals the dum cooking has enhanced the flavor and taste portion size for two was awesome this biryani is traditional served with mint chutney, pickle and raita.

Since the biryani was dum cooked as per portion size the flavors and taste was amazing. Lamb meat was cooked to perfection and the flavor combo of basmati and saffron was truly amazing...

For desserts we had Gulab Jamuns and Kesar Kulfi whaata perfect way to end our traditional meal...

Gulab Jamun

Kesar Pista Kulfi

Hungry Souls like us are always in constant search for the perfect traditional meal. Celebrating our countries heritage Tiger Trail has truly captured our ancient origins and is serving the best Traditional Indian meal.
