Skylit Lounge @Citrus Hotels - Cunningham Road Bengaluru

Skylit is a rooftop lounge in Citrus. Citrus Hotel is located at 34, Cunningham Road, Bangalore 080 45390000

The skylit is beautifully designed for a romantic dinning experience... the view is spectacular. Citrus hotel is very easy to located stay is apt for business class travelers since citrus is located in the heart of the city and connects to many business districts...

 View of buffet spread...

I was bit disappointed to see large flat screen TV's play the live cricket match...They were some how trying very hard to convert the lounge area into a sports bar...it was noisy we were unable to hear each other and enjoy the food in peace...not that i hate cricket but a romantic getaway must be clam we must feel relaxed and away from the humdrum...

They serve 16 starters followed by buffet...we loved some dishes and some were disappointing...there was less salad options...decent amount desserts...

For starters we had chicken tangdi, bread basket with dips, paneer tikka, chilly garlic squid, ghilafi aloo, aloo tikki, lamb chops, veg and nonveg seekhs, jalapenos crispy fish, kasundhi maach, quesadilla, polenta, chicken tikka, BBQ chicken and Grilled Vegetables...

Other than a few dishes we loved the rest...service team was okay they were quite engaged in cricket and missed serving us naans for rogan gosht...

Fondue Festival @Cafe Mangii - UB City Bengaluru

Fondue is all about huddling enjoying cool weather and hot melting cheese in a group. The swiss love their fondue it's also a kind of festive ritual with its own customs and rules. Fondue is prepared during winter and summer monsoons. In India fondue has become so popular after the pizza Indians simply love the gooey goodness...

Fondue is normally prepared with   Gruyère and another cheese such as Emmental or creamy Vacherin fribourgeois. Traditionally fondue is prepared with white wine nowadays people want fondue with out wine the taste and preparation is adjusted as per customers desire.

We wanted to savor the fondue at Cafe Mangii which is located at 2nd floor UB City. Cafe mangii is know for their wood fired pizzas, pastas and desserts. I have visited cafe mangii many times we have always enjoyed the wood fired pizzas here must try pizzas margarita and al-funghi must try drinks are Brownie smoothie and spice girl..

Ambiance: The ambiance at ub city cafe mangii is bit crammed but the second outlet located at orion mall is spacious. The seating is comfortable...Needs more air conditioning during summer we were sweating and this was irritating us and did not enjoy each others conversation...

Service: They need to be bit more attentive and help the customer with menu. Once the order was placed we were served with in 15 minutes which was lovely. The staff was friendly and accommodative...

Fondue Menu Card

We were there for lunch by 1 pm. Once seated and the menu cards were given we ordered some wine and apricot iced tea...along with 2 pizzas frutti de mare and peri peri chicken pizza...

I totally did not like the wine it was bad not edible my dad who was with us did not like to waste anything so he had the wine...as far as the apricot iced tea I totally loved it was so refreshing packed with flavors...

Apricot Iced Tea..

They do not serve beef and pork here...only chicken...I totally remember having pork in the other outlet was bit confused when the waiter told me its all chicken...

Frutti De Mare is a thin crust pizza topped with a thin layer of pasta sauce and peppered prawns, crab meat and scallops its then topped with bocconcini mozzarella cheese and grilled to perfection...I totally loved the pizza it was tasty fresh fish used for preparation must try pizza if you love fish...

Peri Peri Chicken Pizza is also a thin crust pizza thin layer of pasta sauce is spread on the crust and topped with chunks of peri peri spiced chicken, bell peppers and caramelized onions then topped with cheese and grilled to perfection...I felt the chicken was bit dry but loved the flavor and taste in the pizza could have been spicy to suit Indian taste palette..
