Mumbai Street Food Festival @Barbeque Nation - Lido Mall, Bengaluru.
Barbeque Nation hosted me for their ongoing M.A. Road food festival. I was totally excited and looking forward to savor the best grills in town. M.A.Road (Mohammed Ali Road) is located in Mumbai. This street is most talked and visited by foodies from across the globe.
Barbeque Nation has truly Captured the essence of Mumbai street food and is presenting lip smacking delicacies from"Mohammed Ali Road" to Namma Bengaluru. People like me who cannot travel all the way to mumbai can savor the most sort after delicacies on the spread till November 15th 2015 at all Barbeque nation outlets.
The ambiance was all decked-up with Popular Rehri Carts to Live counters and twinkly Lights creating a festive/Iftari atmosphere. The Spread consisted Zam Zam Biryani, Mutton Khichda, Tandoori Bater, Raan, Seekh Kabab, Chutney Grilled Prawns and so on...
Chicken and Bater(Qual) Tandoori
Chicken thighs and quail were marinated in tandoori masala then grilled on coals the meats had a smoky flavor and were perfectly spiced.
Chicken Shikampuri, Chicken Baida Paratha, Seekh Kababs and Keema Kaleji
Chicken Shikampuri is a minced chicken patty filled with spicy panner then pan fried it was crispy on the out side and creamy center in the middle.
Chicken baida paratha is again spicy minced chicken filling in a paratha this was cooked with ghee and oil was crispy...bit on the oily side. What I liked from the cart were the seekh kabab and keema Kaleji, chutney wala jhinga and raan with roti the seasoning and spice level was perfect.
Veg Options: Pav Bhaji, Paneer Bhurji, Sweet Corn Tawa Masala, Paneer paratha.
Chutney Wala Jhinga, Taltali fish, Chicken Tikka and Fish Tikka
Zam Zam Chicken Pulao, Nihari Gosht, Mutton Khchida, Bangda Fish Curry and Butter Naan
Next up was the zam zam biryani I've heard quite a bit about this biryani with meats veggies and french fries its a meal on its own...here at bbq nation they had prepared it with sweet corn mutton and chicken surprisingly it was not that heavy rather very tasty.
Malpua with Rabdi, Gulab Jamun, Toffee Pastry
After a huge spread there was a good selection of desserts. We liked the malpua and toffee cake apart from this no mumbai food is complete without a kulfi I chose the kesar malai kulfi. Overall the meal is fit for a king...Stay hungry until you get here...Also try the masala coke to compliment the grills... I thoroughly enjoyed the M.A Road food festival.
