Keema Do Pyaza Recipe


Keema Do Pyaaza is an excellent side dish to be served with pulkhas or bhakri roti. I personally love it with jeera rice yummy dish to prepare when shallots (sambar onion or baby onions) are in season. We can also use any seasonal veggies and greens in this recipe like cauliflower, peas, double beans and palak.

Ingredients:
500 Kilo Keema (Chicken or Mutton)
1/4 Cup Peas
1 Onion Chopped
1 Tomato Chopped
3 Green Chilies Chopped
1 Onion Cubed or 1 Cup Baby Onion (shallots)
1 + 1/2 Tbsp Ginger and Garlic Paste

1 Tsp Chilly powder
1/4 Tsp Pepper powder
1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
2 Dried Red Chilies

1 Tsp Garam Masala(if we are using chicken tandoori or kitchen king masala can also be used)
1 Tbsp Ghee
2 Tbsp Oil 
Salt as per taste
Finely Chopped Mint +Coriander +1/2 lime juice for garnish..

 Method:
  1. In a pressure pan add the washed minced meat with 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1/4 tsp pepper powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala add water a pinch of salt and cook the meat till well done or cover the cooker and allow to cook for 2 whistles
  2. Heat a pan or wok on medium flame with ghee add the cubed onion and fry until light pink in color reserve in a bowl.
  3. In the same pan add oil once the oil is hot add broken chilies, 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste fry until raw flavor has gone.
  4. Add the dry masalas chilly powder, pepper powder, turmeric and garam masala to the ginger and garlic paste and fry a bit.
  5. Add the finely chopped onion, tomato and chilies fry a bit add a pinch of salt and fry till the onion turn transparent.
  6. Once the masala has fried add the cooked meat fry untill thoroughly mixed in the masala. Add peas and 1/4 cup water adjust salt as per taste stir and cover for 5 to 10 minutes until the meat has combined in the masala.
  7. After 10 minutes give the meat a good stir garnish with chopped mint coriander and lime juice...serve hot with roti...Enjoy...:)

Mushroom Jalfrezi Recipe


Somebody asked me are you celebrating world vegetarian day..."I said What? Now do we have a day to celebrate vegetarian day??  I was totally unaware of this celebration/day...What is World Vegetarian Day? Where did it all Start?

 North American Vegetarian Society in 1977 and endorsed by the International Vegetarian Union in 1978, "To promote the joy, compassion and life-enhancing possibilities of vegetarianism It brings awareness to the ethical, environmental, health and humanitarian benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle.

I'm a Happy Indian. We need not celebrate vegetarian day 90% of our home cooked daily meal is all veg and we thoroughly enjoy simple living..World Vegetarian Day initiates the month of October as Vegetarian Awareness Month, which ends with November 1, World Vegan Day, as the end of that month of celebration. Vegetarian Awareness Month has been known variously as Reverence for Life month, Month of Vegetarian Food, and more.

Ingredients:
200 Grams Mushrooms Sliced
1 Bellpepper (Capsicum deseeded and cubed)
1 Onion Cubed + 1 Onion Finely Chopped
3 Green Chillies Slit
2 Dry Red Chillies 
1 Large Tomato Finely Chopped
1 Tbsp Finely Chopped Fresh Coriander
1 Tbsp Ginger and Garlic Paste
1 Tbsp Vinegar
2 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
1/4 Tsp Pepper Powder
1/2 Tsp Garam Masala
1/2 Tsp Chilly Powder
Salt as per taste
1 Tbsp Ghee + 1 Tbsp Oil...

Method:
  • In a wok add oil and ghee place the wok on medium flame.
  • Once the oil is hot add ginger and garlic paste to the oil fry till raw flavor has gone. 
  • Add finely chopped onion, tomato, slit chillies and dry chilly fry all the ingredients the onion and tomato should soften a bit place it on low flame for 5 minutes.
  • Once the onion and tomato softens a bit add chilly powder, pepper powder, garam masala and tomato ketchup fry all the ingredients till oil separates a bit.
  • Add the bell peppers and mushroom to the masala toss to coat add 2 tbsp water and salt as per taste stir and cover until the mushroom and bell peppers soften.
  • In 5 minutes the vegetable will soften and would've cooked thoroughly add the cubed onion toss and fry for a minute.
  • Finish the masala with vinegar and chopped coriander toss and fry for a minute serve hot as side dish for roti or fried rice...Enjoy...:)

What I like about iD Junior Parota?

Parota is prepared with whole wheat and RO Pure water is used.

I was totally convinced with this all natural product. Net weight per packet is 150grams which contains 4 semi cooked tiffin box size parotas per packet. Whole Wheat Cheesy Quesadillas Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Packets iD Whole Wheat Junior Parotas
1/2 Cup Grated Cheddar or Mozzarella Cheese
2 Mushrooms Sliced
1 or 2 Pieces Chicken Sauages sliced or grilled shredded Chicken can be used in this recipe..
1/2 Bell Pepper Chopped into tiny pieces
1/2 Onion Finley Chopped
1 Garlic Clove Chopped
3 Sprigs Coriander Finely Chopped
1/4 Tsp Chilly powder
1/4 Tsp Pepper powder
1/4 Tsp Garam Masala
1 Tsp Butter
Salt as per taste
Oil as required..

Method:
  • Heat a wok on medium flame add 1 Tsp butter and 1 Tsp Oil.
  • Add all the veggies and meat saute a bit.
  • Add the masalas and salt fry for a minute. Since all the veggies and meat are thinly sliced and chopped the filling will cook with in 2 minutes.
  • Once the filling has cooked Remove from flame and allow to cool.


  • Heat a tawa/skillet of medium flame.
  • Once the skillet is hot transfer the parota and cook on both side for a minute do not add oil
  • Follow the same step and cook the second parota once the second parota has cooked to one side top the prepared filling and cheese.
  • Place the second parota on top press with a spatula and sandwich both the parotas.

  • Gently flip and fry on both sides add little oil or butter as per your preference once the parota have cooked cut and pack for lunch or serve hot as snack with ketchup on side..Enjoy...:)

Sweet and Spicy Tawa Paneer

 This recipe will be an amazing starter to prepare during weekends or home parties very easy and simple list of ingredients required. These paneer skewers are soft, spicy, sweet and tangy.

Ingredients:
2 Capsicums (Washed, Seeds removed and chopped into large cubes)
2 Onions(Peeled Washed and cut into large cubes)
200 Grams Paneer (Cubed)
200 Grams Tinned Pineapple(Drained and Cut into Quarters)
12 Skewers (Washed and soaked in water for 5 minutes)
1 Tbsp Chilly Powder
1 Tbsp Garam Masala or Tandoori Masala
1/2 Tsp Chat Masala
1/2 Tsp Pepper powder
1 Tbsp Pizza Seasoning or Kasoori methi
Salt as per taste 
Oil as required...

 Method:
  • In a bowl combine chilly powder, garam masala, pizza seasoning, pepper powder and chat masala along with salt as per taste reserve..
  • Start to skewer the veggies and paneer prepare a bunch of skewers.
  • Heat a pan with 2 tbsp oil. Start placing the skewers one by one place the flame on low.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning over the paneer and cover every minute keep turning the paneer and sprinkle the seasoning and fry.
  • Once the paneer is coated with the masala fry until the capsicum softens a bit..Remove and serve hot...Enjoy...:)

 Sylvio Olvin and John Rozario The Duo are self taught musicians and love world music. They sung Bachpan..

Rohan Negi and team is from Dehradoon, Uttrakhand. Main Hoon Tera Radio is a song developed after research with amazing blend of European and Indian Lyrics.


Gowri jayakumar, Abhiskek Debsikdar, Anjo john and Behrooz Mihankhan...Singer and song witter gowri composed the entire song Run Pussy Run the song won everyone's heart and were announced the winners of #Aloftstarmtv 2015

After an amazing performance the elaborate buffet and cocktails +Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park was amazing...

Hungry Bird Burger @Five Star Chicken Sahakarnagar Bengaluru


I was at Five Star Chicken Sahakarnagar outlet to try their new Hungry Bird Burger. The space here in Sahakarnagar is bright and airy, neatly maintained space, centrally located to many layouts around since this was in my neighborhood it was an easy access for me.

Hungry Bird Burger is a newly launched product on their menu which is made from a succulent chicken fillet (breast) the patty is spiced and crumb coated before frying which makes it very tasty. The fried patty is sandwiched between a soft sesame bun smeared with a sweet garlic mayo onions and capsicum. Unlike the regular minced chicken meat patty this was way more juicy and crunchier we totally enjoyed the treat.

After scrumptious burgers  we got taste a few favorites and some new snacks. My all time favorite is crunchy thai chicken I had to order it, and totally enjoyed it. We've never tasted the fried chicken momo, peri peri chicken and chicken popcorn here we had to taste these. What we loved was the spicy peri peri chicken its worth a try...Chicken popcorn for me was bland more kid friendly product...Chicken momo was crispy and the filling was good we liked it.

Overall Five Star Chicken has always been a pocket friendly hang out space. Must try and recommended bites here are the Hungry Bird Burger, Peri Peri chicken and Chicken momo.

Eggless Fruit Custard Recipe


Mixed/fresh fruit salad is something I look forward after festivities. This dessert is my comfort food soothing and comforting after a hectic day.

 Ingredients:
1 Liter Milk
2 Apples(Cored and chopped into tiny cubes)
1 Tin of Mixed Pineapple/Fruits (Optional)
3 Bananas (peeled and chopped into coins)
1/2 Tin Condensed Milk or 6 Drops Diet Sugar
1 Pinch Yellow Color
1 Tbsp Vanilla 
3 Tbsp Corn Flour
Dry fruits+nuts as per choice(raisins, cashews, almonds)
Cherry and whipped cream for garnish...

Method:
Place a heavy bottom pot on low flame add the milk and simmer till it comes to a boil.
Add corn flour to 3 tbsp of milk stir and reserve.
Once the milk boils add the sugar or condensed milk stir and bring to a rapid boil.
Reduce the flame using a balloon whisk keep whisking the milk and slowly add the corn mixture.
Keep stirring till the milk reduces a bit and starts to thicken a bit.
Add vanilla and a pinch of yellow color once the milk has reduced remove from flame.
Allow the custard to cool cover and refrigerate the custard to set.
Once the custard is set add the cut fruits+dry fruits and nuts mix well decorate with whipped cream garnish with cherry and serve chilled...Enjoy...:)
